Claudio Pozzani's Birthday With His Readers

Italian poet Claudio Pozzani is here in Armenia. This time «The literary Ark» festival has brought him here, as always. In the frameworks of the festival Pozzani met the Armenian readers. Both Pozzani readers and those who were to meet Pozzani for the first time, gathered in «Bureucrat» bookstore.

Instead of speaking himself Claudio Pozzani let his poems talk. First he read the original variants of his works in Italian, then they were also represented in the Armenian languange. The poet qualified the celebration of his birthday with the readers as the finest gift ever, and the bookstore presented him the English translation of the book «The Armenian Wonders».

During the interview with «Cultural.am» the Italian poet said, that it was the forth time he had taken part in the «Litetary Ark» but every time he discovered something new or once more admired those beautiful things he had already seen in Armenia: «I can remember that the first impression of Armenia was the peace and the broad environment. In such conditions youcan be heard: The Armenians can not only speak but also hear».

pozzaniThe Armenian literature is known to Pozzani. He has read Charents's works and from state-of-the-art writers he mostly likes Eduard Harents.

The presentation of the Italian poet's new book is going to be held this autumn in Russia. It should be noted, that Claudio Pozzani's trilingual book (Italian, Armenian, Russian) «The March of The Shadow» was pubished in Armenia in 2013.

Claudio Pozzani was born in 1961 in Genova. He is a well known poet, novelist and artist. He is appreciated in Italy and abroad for his poetic performances which have been exhibited in the frameworks of the most important literary festivals on the international level.

In 1983 he founded the cultural organization «Circle of Travellers in Time» with the help of which he has organized lots of programs and festivals in Italy, Japan, Germany, Austria, Finland and Belgium.

Claudio Pozzani is the general director of «Genova's International Poetry Festival» which was originated in 1995 and is considered to be one of the greatest events of Italy's poesy.
